DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT (PHILIPPINE’S BUSINESS MARKET)

ROLE OVERVIEW: The Director of Business Development is responsible for developing business strategies, leading the team to achieve revenue targets, and expanding market presence. This role requires a strong combination of strategic thinking (OKRs-driven management), hands-on execution capabilities, and the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop future leaders within the organization

I. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop business goals and strategic plans for Fulfillment services using the OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) framework on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Build detailed action plans to translate revenue targets into measurable operational KPIs for the team.
  • Conduct market and competitor research to adjust pricing strategies, service packages, and customer acquisition approaches targeting E-commerce businesses, Brands, Global Sellers, and SMEs.

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Monitor and manage key business metrics including Conversion Rate (CR), Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).
  • Take full ownership of the department’s sales quota and overall business performance.
  • Prepare detailed business reports and weekly/monthly sales forecasts for direct reporting to the Board of Directors.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead recruitment efforts, screen candidates, and build a high-performing sales team.
  • Establish working processes, sales kits, and standardized sales consultation scripts.
  • Conduct regular training and coaching sessions on Fulfillment knowledge, negotiation skills, sales closing techniques, and customer service mindset.

Business Operations & Development

  • Actively identify, approach, and develop new clients in the E-commerce, D2C Brands, Sellers, and SME sectors that require GIP’s services.
  • Be responsible for both individual sales targets and the overall department sales goals.
  • Participate directly in negotiations and strategic contract discussions with Key Accounts.
  • Build and maintain a strategic customer pipeline while proactively driving upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with the Operations and Warehouse teams to ensure SLA commitments are met and customer concerns are handled promptly.

II. QUALIFICATIONS 

Experience & Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Economics, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least 3–5 years of managerial experience (Team Lead/Manager level) in Sales or Business Development within Fulfillment, Logistics, Warehousing, or E-commerce industries.
  • Strong understanding of the Vietnamese E-commerce market and modern supply chain models.
  • Existing networks with E-commerce companies, D2C Brands, Sellers, Logistics partners, or players within the E-commerce ecosystem will be a strong advantage.

Skills & Mindset

  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset with the ability to work on complex reports and make data-based decisions.
  • Experience managing performance using OKRs or KPI frameworks is highly preferred.
  • Excellent coaching and training skills with the ability to effectively transfer knowledge and experience to team members.
  • Fluent in English.

III. BENEFITS 

  • Salary: PHP 80,000 – PHP 100,000 + performance bonus

IV. WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Work hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday to Saturday;
  • Work location: 23 Zabarte Road, Quezon City, Metro Manila.
